OUR RECTOR PREFERRED A VENERABLE ARCHDEACON IN ADOTT

We give thanks to God for the elevation of our father in the lord, Ven. Felix Adebowale Oyinlola, the Rector of the Anglican Church of the Cross Ottawa to the position of a Venerable Archdeacon for Special Duties, Missioner to Atlantic Canada, and the Director of Communication of ADOTT by the Rt. Rev. Olukayode A. Adebogun during his Enthronement Service as the Second Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the Trinity on Saturday 20th November 2021. Ven. Felix happens to be the first fruit of his episcopate by this preferment. Ven Felix became statutory Canon of the St. Michael Cathedral Esie, Kwara State on December 6, 2015, by the Most Rev. Michael Olukayode Akinyemi, the Retired Archbishop of Kwara Province and Retired Bishop of Igbomina Anglican Diocese. Also in July 2018, he was also preferred the Canon-Missioner of the Canada-East of the Anglican Diocese of the Trinity by the Rt. Rev. Amos Fagbamiye who was the immediate past Diocesan Bishop.

Ven. Felix Ade. Oyinlola

Ven. Felix has been working as the Rector of the Church in Ottawa, Assistant Youth Chaplain Canada for Anglican Trinity Youth Movement of the Diocese, Canon-Missioner for Church planting in the Canada-East Archdeaconry, and Clerical Secretary, Region 1 ADOTT. We thank God for the lives of our Rector and his wife Mrs. Caroline. Of a truth we can say, it pays to serve Jesus. It is our prayer that the good Lord will empower, renew and strengthen our Rector in this new office.

Also, we want to thank the Diocesan of ADOTT, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Adebogun for granting our Rector another opportunity to serve God in a new capacity. May the Lord bless his ministry as he leads the diocese into a brighter future. On behalf of everyone in the Anglican Church of the Cross Ottawa, we rejoice and congratulate our Father and Mother in the Lord. New heights may you gain every day as you continue to fulfill your purpose.

THANKSGIVING SUNDAY 2021

Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all His benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. That is what we are saying as a family of the Church of the Cross this weekend. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and every family out there. We are not consumed because His mercies are new every morning.

What God is expecting from us:

  • Acknowledge His goodness and faithfulness

  • Express your gratitude unto Him

  • Tell others what He has done in your life.

From now henceforth, let every day be your day of thanksgiving. Do not wait until Thanksgiving Day to give Him thanks. Let it be a lifestyle, that is how we conquer and remain on top. Let us with a gladsome heart, praise the Lord, for His kindness, praise Him at all times. Next year, you shall have more reasons to thank Him.
